Set up a DL as a protected subscriber

You can set up a distribution list (DL) as a subscriber to make administration easier. This is recommended for internal use only within an organization or company. Since subscribers have the ability to unsubscribe or edit their subscription settings, it’s necessary to set the subscriber record as protected. Otherwise, any subscriber could potentially make changes that would affect the whole DL.  

To set up a DL as a protected subscriber follow these steps:

1. Navigate to a status hub overview.
2. Open the Hub Operations: Subscribers.
3. Select the appropriate subscriber and edit it.
4. Select the Protected checkbox and click Save.
