Recurring maintenance events

Introduction

StatusHub allows you to create a sequence of recurring maintenance events. This article shows how you may make changes after you have created such a sequence.

This article assumes you have created a recurring event. This is step 2 in the Create maintenance article. If you have created a recurring maintenance event the base and future events are displayed in the tab labeled "Scheduled".

The following are the options:

  1. Edit just one schedule event
  2. Edit this and all following events from the specific future event
  3. Edit future maintenance: Repeat maintenance
  4. Stop scheduled - All future events are removed
  5. Stop scheduled from specific future event - All future events are removed

1. Edit just one scheduled event.

Click on the Edit maintenance button and make desired updates ( for example Title).

Hit Save & Publish: Dialog Edit recurring maintenance with options Edit single event and Edit this and all following events will appear.

Choose 'Edit single event', and only this specific event is changed (example Title).

Please note:

- Base event:

  • Doesn't have "PE" inside the link

  • When you edit everything besides the Recurring section, the app will ask you if you want to change this single event or edit all the following events.
  • If You modify the Recurring section - the app treats this as 'Edit this and all following events,' and the question does not appear.
  • View base event - The delete icon is not visible for the base event.

- Potential event (scheduled event):

  • It has "PE" inside the link - it means that this scheduled event is related to some base event.

  • The event is related to the base event (when the base event is changed, for example, title + user chose Edit all following events > this potential event will also be modified).
  • If you modify everything except the Recurring section - You will be asked if you want to change this single event OR if you want to edit all the next events.
  • If you edit the Recurring section - this potential event becomes the base event for the following recurring events.
  • View future recurring events: The delete icon is visible for potential events. When deleted, only events created by the User can be restored.

2. Edit this and all following events from the specific future event.

Click on the Edit maintenance button and make desired updates (example Title).

Hit Save & Publish: Dialog Edit recurring maintenance with options Edit single event and Edit this and all following events will appear.

Choose 'Edit this and all following events'.

All the following events have changed.

3. Edit future maintenance: Repeat maintenance

Click on the Edit maintenance button and make desired updates in the Recurring maintenance section (for example, change from Daily to Weekly recurring).

Click Save & Publish.

  • All events before this specific event are not changed.
  • All previously created future events are removed after this specific event.
  • This specific event becomes the base event for the newly created future events.
  • New future events are created according to set recurring after this specific event.

4. Stop scheduled - All future events are removed

Click on the Edit maintenance button and unselect the section Repeat maintenance.

Click on Save & Publish button. The edit maintenance dialog will open with the Stop schedule option.

Stop schedule:

  • All following potential events are removed.
  • The base event isn’t removed and stops being a recurring event ( it reverts to a standalone event)

5. Stop scheduled from specific future event - All future events are removed

Click on the Edit maintenance button and unselect the section Repeat maintenance in the specific future maintenance.

Click on Save & Publish button. The edit maintenance dialog is open with the Stop schedule option.

Stop schedule:

  • All following events are removed.
  • Specific event: isn’t removed and stops being a recurring event.
  • All scheduled events before specific event are not removed.
